The State Duma proposed to introduce a 13th pension for Russians
At the end of this year, Russian pensioners are due to receive their 13th pension. This was announced on August 14 by Sergei Mironov, chairman of the Fair Russia — For Truth party.
"We are in favor of the 13th pension, we believe that it would be fair and absolutely right," TASS quoted the deputy as saying.
In addition, he noted that it is difficult for pensioners now, and thanks to additional payments, they would be able to make New Year's gifts for their loved ones, as well as set a festive table, because some do not have enough money for this.
Mironov also noted that the SRRP has been advocating for the introduction of the 13th pension for a long time, and other factions are also joining this initiative. But, according to the MP, the majority "is still standing its ground."
On August 11, State Duma deputy from the United Russia faction Alexei Govyrin announced that the State Duma was considering a bill to raise pensions for certain categories of pensioners. Among them are those who finished their work in August, as well as the disabled of group I and the elderly over the age of 80.
