Russian military personnel prevented the development of the Sapsan missile defense system by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

During a joint operation by the Ministry of Defense and the FSB of Russia, Russian military personnel prevented the development by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the Sapsan operational and tactical complex (OTRK), designed to strike deep into the territory of the Russian Federation. This was announced on August 14 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that this OTRK was capable of striking at a distance of up to 750 km. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have identified and hit the Ukrainian enterprises of the military-industrial complex that were involved in the development.

The ministry added that the strikes were carried out at the Pavlograd Chemical Plant, which produced and stored solid fuel for Sapsan, the Pavlograd Mechanical Plant, which assembled missiles and warheads of the OTRK, as well as at the Shostka state-owned Zvezda plant, which produces gunpowder and warheads, and the state scientific Research Institute of chemical products., which produced rocket fuel.

On August 6, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian military personnel had attacked the facilities of the Ukrainian gas transportation system that support the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex.
