Footage of the Elmendorf-Richardson military base chosen for the summit of the Russian Federation and the United States has appeared.

The Elmendorf-Richardson military base, which was chosen as the venue for the upcoming August 15 meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump, is located about a 30-minute drive from Anchorage Airport in Alaska. Izvestia publishes footage of the facility on August 14.

"I left Anchorage, it's about a 20-minute drive from downtown (the central part of the city. — Ed.) or a little more than 30 minutes from the airport in Anchorage," said Vladimir Artyukhov, a correspondent for Izvestia.

Representatives of the American side allowed the press to park at the base and capture its view, having previously outlined the territory close to the military facility with a blue line, which can no longer be crossed.

Artyukhov noted that on August 15, the rules of shooting and the rules for those at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base could be "much stricter."
