On August 17, two episodes of the film "Underwater Romance" will be shown at Art Space&Co. Before the demonstration of the film, Roman Kiryukhin, the author of the project and the host of the 78 TV channel, together with experts from the Center for Underwater Research of the Russian Geographical Society, will talk about incredible discoveries during the filming process. The event will be held as part of the Lenfilm Club's summer program.

The multi—part film "Underwater Novel" is the story of expeditions to the Northwest by the crew of the 78 TV channel and the team of the Underwater Research Center of the Russian Geographical Society. Journalists go on search exits and dives, film the rise of artifacts, reveal their history, turning the finds into museum relics.

"This documentary is notable for the complete lack of staged footage, filmed for profit - in the genre of reportage. In total, the work on it took about three years - different stages were recorded on camera, it took time. It is important that now the finds that we discovered during filming can be seen in the Museum of the History of Kronstadt and the Central Naval Museum in St. Petersburg," Roman Kiryukhin comments.

On Elagin Island, viewers of the film screening will see two episodes about the study of an unusual Swedish sailboat sunk in the Baltic Sea during the Vyborg Battle of 1790. Expensive and elegant objects recovered from the bottom: Chinese porcelain and ornate personal weapons indicate that there was a certain noble military officer on board. The Underwater Novel project team not only restored these items, but also created a computer model of a Swedish gunboat, built a chronology of the Vyborg battle and identified the person who went to fight comfortably.

At the end of the viewing, a discussion is expected in the format of a public talk: author Roman Kiryukhin and the project team will answer questions from the audience.
