Sony Mobile Communications Rus, the Russian division of Sony Mobile Communications— ceased operations on August 11, 2025. This is evidenced by an extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, which was reviewed on August 13 by Izvestia.

It is specified that the date of termination of the company's work is considered to be August 11, 2025.

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", Sony Mobile Communications rus made attempts to self-destruct back in December 2023, but then it was refused. According to the publication, Sony Mobile Communications acts as a subsidiary of Sony Group. At the same time, Sony Electronics, Sony's main legal entity in Russia, does not operate in the Russian Federation.
