Calculations of M-46 howitzers destroyed the artillery position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone

Calculations of 130-millimeter towed M-46 howitzers of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces destroyed an artillery position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkov area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on August 13 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the enemy's target was detected during aerial reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The operators transmitted the coordinates of the enemy to the calculations and the military carried out a targeted fire raid using high-explosive fragmentation and precision-guided munitions.

After the crews carried out the firing action, they camouflaged the guns and moved into cover.

"We have a well-coordinated calculation, everyone knows their job. Today we have worked on the target of the barrel artillery, about 12 km away. They worked out quickly and smoothly," said the commander of the gun with the call sign Kivo.

He specified that for the most successful destruction of the target, military personnel weigh and sort the shells. According to him, each member of the calculation knows his job, so the work is fast and accurate.

On August 12, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the crew of a Su-34 fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) had struck a temporary deployment point of an AFU unit in the area of responsibility of the South group of forces. It is specified that the target has been eliminated.
