The Megion City Court of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Ugra) sentenced a local resident to 3.5 years in prison for setting fire to the city administration building and three police cars on the instructions of fraudsters. This was announced on August 12 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the region.
"The Megion City Court has considered a criminal case against a resident of Megion who set fire to the Megion city administration building and three official vehicles of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Megion using gasoline bottles," reads a message posted on the VKontakte social network group of courts.
It is specified that the accused pleaded guilty during the court session. She will serve her term in a penal colony. The sentence has not yet entered into force, as the court postponed the serving of the sentence — the woman has a child under the age of 14.
