The State Duma is considering a bill to raise pensions for certain categories of pensioners. Among them are those who finished their work in August, as well as the disabled of group I and the elderly over the age of 80. This was announced on August 11 by State Duma deputy from the United Russia faction Alexei Govyrin.

A pensioner who is over 80 years old, according to Govyrin, will receive twice the fixed part of the insurance pension.

"Its base amount in 2025 is 8,907 rubles and 70 kopecks, which means that a pensioner over 80 years old will receive 17,815 rubles and 40 kopecks only for this part, excluding additional payments and district coefficients," the TASS news agency quoted the deputy as saying.

It is noted that if a pensioner is cared for, then payments to him will increase by 1,314 rubles, and with a state pension — by 1,377 rubles.

Group I disabled people will also receive a doubled insurance pension. Thus, an allowance of 2,969 rubles and 23 kopecks is charged for one disabled family member, Govyrin added.

But those who are just about to retire can receive a supplement only if they have not indexed their pension. Then you can receive payments with all previously missed indexes.

Earlier, on August 10, Govyrin said that currently the average pension in the Russian Federation is about 23.5 thousand rubles. The parliamentarian explained that the total amount of special points earned by the pensioner is multiplied by the cost indicator, after which a fixed payment of 8,907.70 rubles is added to it. The final payout amount is formed from these calculations.
