Russian Armed Forces soldiers destroyed 10 UAV control points
Units of the South group of forces eliminated 10 control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of Russian military personnel working on Monday, August 11.
The scouts found several control points for the Ukrainian Armed Forces drones in the area of the village of Seversk. In addition, it was possible to detect a control antenna and a video camera, with which the enemy controlled the troops.
The task of destroying the targets was assigned to the calculations of the Msta-B howitzers and UAVs. Attack drones and 152-mm caliber shells, simultaneously launched at several targets, destroyed control points and disorganized the enemy.
The Russian Defense Ministry also announced the elimination of enemy drone deployment points near Zvanovka. The work on the targets was carried out with 152-mm Msta-B howitzer shells.
In addition, the AFU drone control center was opened in the area of Verolyubovka. Drone operators and gunners of the 71st Motorized Rifle Division eliminated the target as soon as possible.
Earlier, on August 10, Private Vasily Leushin organized an observation post in the area of one of the settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and promptly detected an attempt by the enemy to break through in his area of responsibility. After that, Leushin began the task of correcting the artillery fire of the Russian Armed Forces, which made it possible to effectively strike at concentrations of Ukrainian units.
Prior to that, on August 9, Guard Junior Sergeant Alexei Bakhmutsky, as part of a self-propelled artillery gun crew, destroyed an AFU stronghold along with infantry. After the strikes were completed, the military moved the equipment to a reserve area. Thanks to the actions of the calculation, the Russian army was able to weaken the enemy's defenses and ensure the advance of troops.
