A Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 operating a Gaziantel — Istanbul flight made an emergency landing in Ankara due to one of the passengers' wireless headphones catching fire. This was announced on August 10 by the HavaSosyalMedya portal.

"There was a short—term fire in the battery of the passenger's wireless headset, and the flight crew decided to send the plane to Esenboga Airport in Ankara," the publication says.

It is clarified that after the incident, the owner of the headphones and another passenger, who succumbed to panic, were removed from the plane to check their health and safety.

Earlier, on June 7, a helicopter with five passengers and a pilot on board made an emergency landing on a highway in India. It was assumed that the reason for this was a malfunction in the collective management system. It was clarified that the passengers were not injured, the pilot received minor injuries.
