A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses, defeating two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two air defense brigades. The enemy lost up to 245 fighters, a tank, two armored fighting vehicles (BMWs) and 10 vehicles, as well as an electronic warfare station and a warehouse of materiel. At the same time, the Zapad, Center, and Yuzhnaya groups improved their positions.

"Units of the North group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the motorized infantry, jaeger, amphibious assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka, Varachino, Pershe Travnya and Yunakovka, Sumy region. In the Kharkiv direction, units of the mechanized, motorized infantry brigades and the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Volchansk, Liptsy, Chugunovka and Tikhoe in the Kharkiv region," the Defense Ministry noted.

Operational-tactical aircraft, attack unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery and rocket troops of the Russian Army hit a railway junction in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which provided the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Donbass, warehouses of long-range drones, as well as temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and mercenaries in 134 districts.

The Air Defense Forces shot down two Neptune long-range guided missiles, six HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) shells, as well as 372 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Ministry of Defense, during the special operation, the Kiev regime lost 665 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 76,185 UAVs, 625 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,519 tanks and other armored personnel carriers, 1,584 MLRS combat vehicles, 28,360 field artillery and mortars, as well as 39,418 units of special military vehicles.
