Private Leushin promptly identified an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break into the DPR

Private Vasily Leushin organized an observation post in the area of one of the settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and promptly detected an attempt by the enemy to break through in his area of responsibility. The Russian Ministry of Defense told about the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Sunday, August 10.

The fighter performed the assigned tasks as a machine gunner of a motorized rifle squad. During the organization of the observation post, he cleverly disguised his position, which allowed him to monitor the movement of the enemy without being noticed.

With the help of surveillance equipment, the private promptly detected an attempt to break through the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in his area of responsibility and reported the situation to the commander. After that, Leushin began the task of correcting the artillery fire of the Russian Armed Forces, which made it possible to effectively strike at concentrations of Ukrainian units.

As a result of the actions of the soldier, the enemy forces suffered significant losses and were forced to retreat. This contributed to the preservation of the defensive positions of the Russian army.

The Ministry of Defense also reported that Guard Sergeant Alexei Chernyshev successfully completed the combat mission of delivering rockets to the positions of an artillery battery. On the way, the serviceman's car came under fire from an AFU mortar, as a result of which the vehicle caught fire and there was a threat of detonation of the transported ammunition.

However, Chernyshev was able to get the transport out of the shelling and hide it under trees, where he later extinguished the fire. As a result of the fighter's decisive actions, rockets and materiel were delivered to the positions in a timely manner.

On August 9, Guard Junior Sergeant Alexei Bakhmutsky, as part of a self-propelled artillery gun crew, destroyed an AFU stronghold along with infantry. After the strikes were completed, the military moved the equipment to a reserve area. Thanks to the actions of the calculation, the Russian army was able to weaken the enemy's defenses and ensure the advance of troops.

Earlier, on August 8, Corporal Yuri Khomich completed a combat mission to deliver ammunition and materiel to the advanced positions of Russian assault groups while under enemy fire. Having quickly got his bearings in the situation, the soldier made a maneuver and dodged the drone strike, after which he hid the vehicle in a wooded area. After that, the corporal used his personal small arms to destroy the enemy drone, which was located above his location.
