A civilian was killed in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Zaporizhia region.

A resident of the Zaporizhia region was killed due to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) strike The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky in his Telegram channel on Saturday, August 9.

"The enemy carried out a UAV attack on private households in the village of Verkhnyaya Krinitsa, Vasilyevsky Municipal District. A local resident, a man born in 1955, died from his injuries," the report said.

Balitsky also noted that the risk of a repeat attack remains, and air defense forces are operating in the region.

Earlier, on August 9, a 19-year-old local resident was killed as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on Borisovka, Belgorod region. Another man was injured, and he went to the hospital with a shrapnel wound to his leg and barotrauma.
