Moscow, together with non-profit organizations, supports the participants of the special military operation and their families. As Mayor Sergei Sobyanin recalled, dozens of NGOs work in the capital, which "have united caring Muscovites — they transfer humanitarian aid, visit fighters in hospitals, write letters to them and just stay close."

The mayor mentioned a number of organizations that help fighters in their military units and their relatives. Thus, the Preobrazhenskaya Aid Foundation "sent more than 20 humanitarian supplies for mothers and children from Kremennaya, helped an orphanage in Donetsk, handed over a UAZ to our military in the Luhansk direction and sports uniforms to young hockey players of the Zaporizhia region," Sobyanin wrote on his Telegram channel. The foundation's volunteers in Moscow sew bed linen and towels, knit wool socks and collect gifts.

In turn, the Ladoshka Shchastya Family and Childhood Support Center has sent about 2 tons of humanitarian aid over the past year. In addition, the center collects clothes and personal hygiene products for the wounded who are being treated at the Burdenko Hospital.

"In two years, 31 non-profit organizations that help participants in a special military operation have received support from the Moscow Mayor's grant competition in the amount of over 67 million rubles," Sobyanin said. As part of the Moscow — a Kind City grant competition, 54 NGOs were able to receive 140 million rubles in three years, he said.

The mayor also reminded that it is possible to support the participants of the SVO on the charity service of the portal. mos.ru in the "Combat participants" section. Over 19 million rubles have been collected through this channel into the funds of the organizations represented in the category, Sobyanin added.

In July, the mayor said that one of the key areas of assistance that Moscow provides to its participants is assistance in professional development and employment. "Each applicant is offered an individual career option, depending on their personal history, experience, and request," Sobyanin said.

According to him, fighters can take free training programs in various fields in industry, IT, transport and others. Among the most popular courses, Sobyanin named courses for software-controlled machine operators, UAV operators, security specialists, data analysts, and programmers.
