In the city of Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, five people were injured when a cable car broke. This was announced on Friday, August 8, by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

It is specified that the incident occurred at about 17:45 Moscow time. Rescuers immediately moved to the scene.

According to the Izvestia source, the victims fell from a height of 4-7 m into dense vegetation. Everyone was wearing seat belts.

The condition of the injured is not specified.

The cable car broke earlier in the day. The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations added that information about the incident is being clarified.
