The share of alternative supplies in car imports to the Russian Federation in July was named

In July, alternative imports accounted for 48% of new passenger cars. This was announced on August 8 by Sergey Tselikov, General Director of the Autostat analytical agency, in his Telegram channel.

According to him, 28.3 thousand new passenger cars were imported to Russia last month. Of these, 13.5 thousand cars entered our country using various alternative schemes.

The most frequently imported cars were Toyota (19.9%), Geely (10.9%), BMW (7.6%), Mazda (6.7%) and Lixiang (5.8%). The most popular models are Geely Monjaro (903 units), Toyota Highlander (764 units), Toyota RAV4 (746 units) Mazda CX-5 (688 units), Toyota Camry (549 units).

Most new cars were imported by alternative routes from China (47.9%), Kyrgyzstan (26%), Belarus (9.4%), South Korea (6.5%) and Japan (2.8%).

Earlier, analysts at Autostat estimated that imports of new passenger cars to Russia in the first half of 2025 decreased by 63% compared to the same period last year. In six months, 149.3 thousand new cars were imported into the country, compared to 408.5 thousand a year earlier.

The majority of new passenger cars (77%) were imported to Russia from China. The second place in this indicator is occupied by Kyrgyzstan, whose share in the total volume was 8%. Belarus and South Korea are next in the ranking (4.7 and 4.4%, respectively), Kazakhstan closes the top five (2.2%). Each of the remaining countries accounted for less than 1%.
