Germany reported on the desperation of Ukrainians and the demand for an end to the conflict with the Russian Federation

Ukrainians are in complete despair and see no prospects in the conflict with Russia. Stefan Richter, a correspondent for the German television channel NTV Nachrichten, said this on August 8.

"The desperation in Ukraine, and especially here in Kiev, is growing. Almost 70% demand an immediate end to the conflict. Only 24%, or less than a quarter, want to continue fighting until victory," Richter said.

At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine is not participating in the upcoming negotiations between Russia and the United States.

Richter added that for Ukrainians, President Volodymyr Zelensky's non-participation in this process looks "absolutely incredible." The journalist also noted the successful advancement of the Russian army.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Nina Yuzhanina said yesterday that the majority of Ukrainians who went abroad would stay there, while only 10% would return. According to her, such indicators are due to the fact that in Ukraine there are big problems with the judicial system, the protection of the inviolability of property, as well as with the possibilities of "proving one's case."
