The German government on Friday, August 8, secretly decided to terminate the work of the representative offices of the leading Russian media in the country, justifying this as a direct threat to the state. This was reported to TASS by a source familiar with the situation.

"The leadership of the Federal Republic of Germany has made an unspoken decision to completely stop the work of representative offices of Russia's leading mass media in the country. The reason is a "direct threat" to the security of Germany, which is allegedly represented by the activities of Russian journalists," the agency's interlocutor said.

According to him, the republic's leadership is gradually crowding out the media in order to hide from Moscow the existence of a corresponding Berlin installation.
