Lukashenko spoke about the preparation of positions for the "Hazel Grove" in Belarus
The positions for the deployment of the Oreshnik missile system in Belarus have already been identified and are being set up. This was announced on August 8 by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with Time magazine, which was published on the official website of the Belarusian leader.
"The first positions where it will be placed have already been determined," he said.
Lukashenko recalled that the Oreshnik, capable of carrying a nuclear charge, will be deployed on the territory of Belarus by the end of the year.
Secretary of State of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich announced on May 28 that the missile system will be deployed in the country until the end of 2025. According to him, the Oreshnik will make it possible to give a reliable rebuff in the event of aggression against Belarus by other states.
On March 14, Lukashenko announced that the Oreshnik would soon enter service with the Belarusian army. According to him, the launcher for this rocket is manufactured in Belarus. He added that Minsk expects to receive several missiles from the Russian Federation in the near future, and the launchers will be made in the country.
