The United States has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to $50 million. This was reported on August 8 by the Reuters news agency with reference to the United States Attorney General Pam Bondy.

The United States is offering a $50 million reward for information leading to the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy said on Thursday.

It is noted that the American authorities accuse the politician of collaborating with the Tren de Aragua group and the Sinaloa cartel.

Earlier, on January 10, the United States refused to recognize Maduro's inauguration and increased the reward for his capture to $25 million. In addition, Washington added a new reward of up to $15 million for its appointed Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino. The State Department has also imposed new visa restrictions on Maduro-linked officials who allegedly undermined the electoral process in Venezuela.
