Moscow has received a proposal from Washington regarding the organization of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump, which it considers acceptable. This was stated by Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.

"There was an offer from the Americans, which we consider quite acceptable," he told journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Ushakov did not tell about the nature of the proposal. The presidential aide also spoke about several options for the venue of the talks, but did not name specific locations.

On the same day, Putin named the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as one of the suitable places for his meeting with Trump. The Russian leader also added that both sides had expressed interest in holding a summit between Russia and the United States.

Earlier on August 7, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that Russia and the United States had agreed on a meeting between Putin and Trump in the coming days. He noted that the parties have already started working out arrangements for a meeting between the two leaders.

The day before, the American leader said during a speech in the Oval Office of the White House that there are good prospects for a meeting with Putin. In addition, he expressed hope for an early meeting between Putin and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
