Almost 20 forest fires were recorded in Yakutia

Forest fires on a total area of 5.54 thousand hectares were extinguished in Yakutia over the past day, 18 fires continue to operate on an area of 76.8 thousand hectares. This was announced to journalists on August 6 by Deputy Minister of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic Andrey Konoplev.

He noted that 10 of the active forest fires are located on an area of more than 61 thousand hectares in the control zone, in a remote area, 298 people were involved in their extinguishing.
