Private Alexander Tokmakov, who is in the position of a tank platoon driver, completed the task of defending camouflaged vehicles in a position as part of a security group. The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Wednesday, August 6.

While serving as an ordinary soldier, the enemy launched an artillery strike on the positions of Russian soldiers. As a result of the strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), a fire started at the parking lot of the T-80 tank and the surrounding area.

After the shelling was completed, Tokmakov, showing dedication, began extinguishing the fire. Later, he discovered an enemy heavy drone in the sky heading for the position. With small arms, the private was able to damage one of the engines of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which subsequently fell and detonated before reaching the target.

The Ministry of Defense also said that Private Andrei Sasin of the Guard, as part of the D-30 howitzer crew, carried out a combat mission to support the advancing forces of the assault unit with artillery fire. At the firing position, he discovered the enemy's approaching FPV drones, after which he took up an advantageous position and opened fire on them. In a few hours of defense from Ukrainian UAVs, the soldier shot down more than 10 aerial targets.

During this time, the Russian howitzer crew continued to fire continuously, destroying enemy firing points, which contributed to the advance of the Russian assault unit forward.
