The Russian Embassy appreciated the decision of the Netherlands to purchase weapons for Ukraine.

The Russian Federation considers the decision of the Netherlands to purchase US weapons for Kiev as another measure to prolong the fighting in Ukraine. This was announced on August 5 by the Russian Embassy in The Hague in a comment to RIA Novosti.

"We consider the recent decision of the Netherlands to buy and transfer American weapons to the Kiev regime as another measure to prolong the fighting in Ukraine. Financing supplies will place a heavy burden on European taxpayers," the diplomatic mission said in a statement.

It is noted that, contrary to the opinion of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, such a decision will only contribute to the continuation of the conflict, and not to its end.
