Putin urged to work on achieving Russia's technological leadership

Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 5 during a meeting in the Kremlin with the chairman of the State Development Corporation VEB.Igor Shuvalov noted that the level of technological development and the state of the Russian economy make it possible to work towards achieving the country's technological leadership.

As Putin pointed out, import substitution alone will not achieve technological leadership. According to him, Russia needs its own developments.
