- Schools and colleges of the future were presented at the Moscow 2030 Forum-festival in Gostiny Dvor
At the forum-festival "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030" in Gostiny Dvor, visitors will be able to see new and modernized metropolitan schools and colleges of the future, as well as participate in dozens of master classes from design to criminology. This was announced by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
"Moscow is one of the five world leaders in the quality of education and sets trends in this area. We presented the main achievements — from the modernization of secondary vocational education to the comprehensive renovation of the infrastructure of schools and colleges — at the Moscow 2030 forum-festival in Gostiny Dvor. Thanks to the detailed interactive layouts, it is possible to get a visual idea of what the colleges of the future, as well as new and modernized metropolitan schools, will look like. In addition, on the interactive platform, everyone can try themselves in the specialties that are taught in the colleges of the capital, from an electric train driver to a designer or criminologist. And in the artificial intelligence area, guests will be able to choose a suitable profession based on a face scan," Anastasia Rakova said.
On the site, you can see a model of the capital's first innovative college of fashion and arts, which can accommodate eight thousand students. The total area of the building will be 50 thousand square meters. An innovation cluster is being created together with employer partners. The best craftsmen and teachers will train specialists for the digital and creative industries of the city. Full cycles of creative products and services creation will be reproduced in 34 modern workshops and laboratories. Five educational and practical training grounds will allow students to hone their skills in real production conditions.
Guests can also get acquainted with the layout of the school, updated as part of the large-scale My School program. Thanks to modernization, educational organizations of the last century are becoming more comfortable and technologically advanced. As early as September 1, 51 renovated schools will be opened in Moscow as part of the program.
Thanks to another layout, visitors will learn about the schools of the future that will appear in Moscow. Innovative buildings, each of which is designed for more than a thousand students, will be built in different districts of the capital. New architectural and design solutions will be implemented in them. There will be a spacious atrium, transformable classrooms, modern laboratories and media libraries, special areas for work and creativity.
Each booth has a touch panel, through which visitors can learn more about modern learning spaces.
Dozens of master classes are held on the interactive platform "Colleges of Moscow". For example, design enthusiasts will be offered to customize a T-shirt, a shopper, or a mug with a print. You can learn about the profession of a digital designer and make your own 3D avatar using a scanner. In the transport area, drive an electric train on a realistic simulator, get acquainted with the device of an electric car.
Guests can also compete with an industrial robot to see who can guide the ring through the maze faster. At the neurotechnology master class, visitors will learn how to control a bionic hand with the power of thought, and draw up an action plan to realize their dreams. Here, thanks to an AI algorithm, guests will be able to choose a suitable profession based on a face scan.
Those who are interested in architecture and art will create "floating" stands in the tensegrity style, try on the role of a restorer and revive wooden men. At the rescue stand, you can try on modern firefighter equipment and learn how to knit rescue knots. Fans of criminology will have the opportunity to take fingerprints, find hidden tracks and investigate the case in virtual reality. You can also assemble a luminous keychain, print your own idea on a 3D printer, and even program the movements of a smart robot backpack.
There is a creative photo zone for selfie lovers. It was developed by students of Moscow colleges — future landscape designers, florists, carpenters and masters of finishing works. The space is decorated with wood, glass, moss and living plants.
The capital's education zone will be open in Gostiny Dvor until September 14. Admission is free, the day off is Monday.
