FT spoke about the critical situation with military mobilization in Ukraine
In Ukraine, resistance to forced mobilization is growing and attacks on employees of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs, the Ukrainian equivalent of the military enlistment office) are becoming more frequent. This was reported on August 4 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper.
"There is growing resistance and even violence against employees of recruitment services," the publication notes.
The article mentions numerous videos in which employees of the shopping mall forcibly detain and kidnap men on the streets of Ukrainian cities. The FT also clarifies that the number of attacks on shopping mall employees by the population of Ukraine has increased recently.
FT adds that against this background, Kiev is trying to encourage voluntary service, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) complain about the depletion of units and the shortage of personnel.
In Vinnytsia, on August 1, relatives of the mobilized went to a rally at one of the shopping malls, where the conscripts were sent to the stadium. There was a conflict between the protesters, employees of the shopping mall and representatives of social support (SP), during which the police, according to one of the local residents, used gas cylinders.
Later, the Vinnytsia Shopping Center explained the gathering of military personnel at the stadium by the need for a medical examination. Criminal cases have been opened against the protesters.
