Vucic announced a possible meeting with Putin during his visit to China
Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic announced on August 3 a possible meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during his trip to China, where he was invited by Chinese President Xi Jinping to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people over Japanese aggression.
"From September 1 to September 6, I will be in China.<...> Now I have been informed that Putin will probably be there, so perhaps I will meet with him. And I heard that maybe US President Donald Trump will come too — I'm not sure. God knows how it's going to be," he told reporters.
On July 27, Vucic said that Xi Jinping had promised him to fulfill any request at the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It was noted that the Serbian leader and Chinese Ambassador Li Ming are considering the possibility of building the Danube Corridor highway in the east of the country.
