A criminal case was opened after the death of a woman when a tree fell in Derbent.

After the death of a woman as a result of a falling tree, a criminal case was opened on negligence. This was reported on August 3 in the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan.

"The Derbent interdistrict investigative Department of the SU IC of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan has opened a criminal case on the fact of official negligence under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Negligence resulting in the death of a person")," the department's Telegram channel says.

The investigators establish all the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators.

Earlier that day, the Investigative Committee reported that a tree fell on three women on the territory of the Juma Mosque in Derbent, one of them died. The Derbent interdistrict investigative Department of the SU IC of Russia organized an inspection. Later it became known that the deceased was from Yoshkar-Ola.
