Baltika defeated Orenburg in the third round of the Russian Premier League
Kaliningrad football club (FC) Baltika beat Orenburg in the home match of the third round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) with a score of 3:2. The match took place on August 3.
The first goal in the 22nd minute from the penalty spot was scored by Baltika striker Brian Hill. In the second half, midfielder Maxim Petrov scored (48th minute) and striker Chinonceau Offor (65th minute). Midfielder Evgeny Bolotov (57th minute) and striker Emirjan Gyurlyuk (69th minute) scored goals for the visitors.
In the 89th minute, Orenburg defender Alexei Tataev received a second yellow card and was sent off the field. The referee of the match, as noted by Sport-Express, was Evgeny Kukulyak.
After three rounds, Baltika scored seven points and is in third place in the standings. The team won its first victory of the season. Orenburg suffered its first defeat in the championship and dropped to 11th place.
In the fourth round, the Kaliningrad club will play away against Krylia Sovetov on August 9. Orenburg will host Krasnodar a day later.
FC Krylia Sovetov beat Rostov 4-1 on August 2 in the third round of the Russian Premier League. Krylia Sovetov (seven points) won for the second time in a row and topped the RPL table.
