The State Duma proposed to postpone part of the New Year holidays to May
It is better to postpone part of the New Year holidays to May, when people spend time in the country. This was announced on August 3 by the head of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction, Sergei Mironov.
"Such long winter holidays are not necessary, it is better to postpone to May, when people go to their gardens, to their dachas," he said in an interview with TASS.
Mironov also supported the idea of making September 1 a day off for parents of schoolchildren to help them. However, he noted that Russians already have a lot of days off a year, so it is necessary to make a reasonable assessment of this.
Nikita Chaplin, a State Duma deputy and chairman of the Union of Summer Residents of the Moscow region, said on August 2 that if the owner of the plot uses it for business, his neighbors may complain to the local administration and government agencies. He noted that it is important not to turn a blind eye to violations, but to purposefully seek their elimination.
