Two people were killed and four injured in an accident in Tatarstan.
Two cars collided on a highway in the Leninogorsk district of Tatarstan, resulting in two deaths and four injuries. This was announced on August 2 by the Prosecutor's Office of the republic.
According to the agency, the accident occurred on the same day on the Almetyevsk-Bugulma highway. The driver of the VAZ-2111 car drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with an Opel Mocha. After the impact, the VAZ flew into a ditch.
"There were six people in the VAZ-2111 car, four in the Opel Mocha. As a result of the accident, two passengers of the VAZ-2111 were killed on the spot, and four more people with various injuries were hospitalized in a healthcare facility," the prosecutor's office's Telegram channel says.
The Leninogorsk City prosecutor Marcel Gimaev arrived at the scene, and a procedural check is currently underway.
On the same day, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mordovia reported that six people were injured as a result of a passenger bus overturning in the republic. The bus driver lost control and drove into a ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn.
