Russian Chikunova won silver at the World Swimming Championships in 200 m breaststroke

On August 1, Russian athlete Evgenia Chikunova became the silver medalist of the World Aquatics Championships in the 200 m breaststroke.

It is noted that the Russian overcame the distance in 2 minutes 19.96 seconds. The gold medal was won by American swimmer Kate Douglas with a score of 2 minutes 18.5 seconds.

The 2025 World Aquatics Championships started in Singapore on July 11 and will last until August 3, Sport-Express adds.

The Russian synchronized swimming team returned to Moscow on July 27 from the World Championships in Singapore, where it won eight medals, three of them of the highest standard. All the gold medals belong to Alexander Maltsev, who has already become a seven-time champion thanks to his victories in competitions.
