President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation on Friday, August 1. This was reported by the BelTA news agency with reference to the press service of the Belarusian leader.
During the trip, a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place. The negotiations will be held in a one-on-one format.
According to the press service, the heads of state will discuss the development of Belarusian-Russian relations, the implementation of allied projects, the international agenda and regional security issues.
On July 31, Lukashenko declared that Russia is the guarantor of security for Belarus. According to him, the Russian Federation "lent a shoulder" to Belarus during the threat in 2020. On the same day, Lukashenko said that Minsk and Moscow had passed a serious test of strength together and had passed this test. Relations between the two countries are on the rise, the Belarusian president noted.
