Doctors who did not leave the operating rooms at the time of the strong earthquake in Kamchatka will be presented with federal awards. This was announced on August 1 by the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, Vladimir Solodov.

"We will present federal awards to at least 15 doctors and nine nurses who were in the operating rooms at the time of the earthquake," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition, the head of the region added that specialists from other emergency services who continued to do their duty, saving lives and ensuring the safety of fellow citizens, would also be additionally rewarded for their self-control.

Yana Gvozdeva, head of the second surgical department of the hospital, where the operation was not interrupted at the time of the earthquake in Kamchatka, told Izvestia on July 30 that the staff easily grouped together, as they are a real team.
