A record number of applications have been received for an IT internship at Moscow City Hall

A record number of applications (almost 7 thousand) have been received for the new stream of the internship program at the Moscow City Hall for young specialists in the field of information technology, Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor.

"Over the entire time, more than 16 thousand applications have been submitted for participation in the program. The new stream offered 10 destinations to choose from. The most popular among young professionals are "Development", "Data Analytics" and "Project Management"," said the Vice Mayor.

Based on the results of the selection, 80 of the best candidates were identified — they successfully passed the test and interview, completed individual tasks.

The internship is paid and lasts for six months. Under the guidance of mentors, program participants work on digital projects that are significant for the city, including portals mos.ru and Get to Know Moscow, a unified medical information and analytical system, the Moscow Electronic School platform, and the Russpass travel service.

The internship program at the Moscow government for young IT specialists was launched in 2022. It is designed for graduates and students of specialized educational institutions aged 18 to 35 years. According to the Moscow Department of Information Technology, about 65% of graduates of the program receive job offers and remain in the capital's team.
