On July 31, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Lukyanov, who, as part of an assault group, carried out the task of capturing a stronghold of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), located in the path of the offensive of Russian troops. The Ukrainian militants on this sector of the front put up fierce resistance, hampering the actions of the Russian stormtroopers with grenade launcher fire. Having immediately got his bearings in the situation, Lukyanov, personally leading the combat troika, decided to outflank the stronghold.

Moving stealthily through the forest belt, the soldiers were able to sneak up to the militant grenade launcher crew, and with a well-aimed shot from a standard weapon, Lukyanov destroyed the enemy grenade launcher after which he was the first to break into the enemy stronghold. Taken by surprise, the enemy shooter laid down his weapon and surrendered. Having lost the support of the grenade launcher crew, the AFU militants retreated. Lukyanov's bold and decisive actions allowed the Russian troops to seize a strong point and gain a foothold on new frontiers.

In addition, the Russian Ministry of Defense noted the actions of Pavel Arzhakov, commander of the group of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the BARS-2 detachment, who, controlling the drone, carried out the task of opening the positions of Ukrainian militants in the area of the offensive of Russian troops. While conducting reconnaissance, he discovered an enemy tank and a dugout with enemy personnel.

After assessing the situation, Arzhakov ordered his subordinates to attack the exposed enemy targets with FPV drones, while he controlled the destruction of targets. Thanks to the professionalism of Arzhakov and his subordinates, the AFU tank was destroyed, and the dugout was blown up along with the Ukrainian militants who were there.
