In Russia, the cost of travel to friendly countries may decrease. The reason for the favorable forecast is the new law on benefits for tour operators, which will enter into force on September 1. The Ministry of Economic Development informed Izvestia about this on July 30.

"Tour operators will be able to optimize their expenses. In addition, reducing the financial burden will help legalize the part of the tourism business that currently operates in the gray zone," the department said.

It is specified that the law will allow saving on insurance reserves, that is, trips abroad will actually be equated to domestic tourism. There is no exact list of states yet, it will be formed later by the government of the Russian Federation.

According to the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and the DPRK may be included in the list. Thanks to this measure, these countries will receive an additional tourist flow.

The PCT also stressed that demand for these countries increased by 10-12% in six months compared to the same period last year.
