- DM found out about the FBI's discovery of the missing minute of Epstein's video in prison
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Department of Justice have an allegedly missing minute from the CCTV footage that was recorded on the night when financier Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of sexual crimes, was found dead in his prison cell. This was reported on July 29 by the Daily Mail (DM) newspaper, citing sources.
The publication notes that the missing minute was reset in accordance with the old system, which was used for video surveillance recordings and which implied an automatic frame change every night.
"The time code on the screen moved forward one minute shortly before midnight," the publication says.
It is clarified that the 11-hour recording, previously released this month, proves that on the night of August 10, 2019, no one came to the convict's cell — according to preliminary data, he committed suicide.
On July 19, US President Donald Trump asked the Department of Justice to release all available testimony from the jury in the Epstein case. However, later, on July 23, the Florida court rejected this request, in connection with which Trump expressed his dissatisfaction on July 28. The American president was annoyed by the mistakes made by the White House in this matter.
