A tsunami threat has been declared on the coast of Avacha Bay in Kamchatka. This was announced on July 30 at the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (USGS RAS).

"There is an unconditional tsunami alert on the coast of the Avacha Bay!" reads the Telegram channel of the FITC YGS RAS.

According to the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kamchatka Territory, the magnitude of the seismic event was seven points. The source of the tremors lay at a depth of 17 km.
