Russia has taken note of US President Donald Trump's statements about shortening the deadline for reaching an agreement on the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on July 29 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We have taken note of President Trump's statement yesterday," he said during a briefing.

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation recalled that the special military operation (SVO) continues. According to him, Moscow remains committed to the peace process to resolve the conflict, as well as to ensure the interests of the Russian Federation during the negotiations.

Earlier, on July 28, Trump shortened the deadline for reaching an agreement on the Ukrainian conflict to 10-12 days. According to him, the 50-day deadline he set earlier was "generous." The US president also stressed that he had not seen any progress towards a ceasefire.
