Two teenagers drowned in the Don River in the Rostov region. This was announced on July 29 by the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"Two teenagers drowned in Rostov-on-Don. The emergency occurred in the area of Levoberezhny beach," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.
According to the agency, three minors born in 2010 decided to swim across the Don, swam behind the buoys and swam in the direction of the fairway, ignoring the warnings of rescuers. As a result of the strong current, two teenagers were dragged under the water, but one was saved.
On July 19, it was reported that two 10-year-old girls drowned in a reservoir in Grozny, the Chechen Republic. It is specified that they went swimming in a pond unaccompanied by adults, as a result of which they drowned.
