Mishustin called strengthening the transport connectivity of the regions a priority
The Federal Agency for Railway Transport is solving one of the most important tasks for the country — strengthening the transport connectivity of the regions. This was announced on Tuesday, July 29, by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with Alexander Sakharov, head of Roszheldor.
"The priority task is to strengthen the transport connectivity of our regions, it is facing the country," said the head of government.
The Prime Minister stressed that uninterrupted transportation of goods and passenger traffic is the basis for the development of the state, since transport connectivity, which the president mentioned earlier, has a significant impact on related industries and contributes to economic growth.
Mishustin added that Roszheldor's work plays a special role in this process — the construction of highways, the renewal of rolling stock and the introduction of electronic services. According to him, it is important that the railway network is expanded, transportation is carried out on time with minimal costs, and the system functions efficiently.
On July 7, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikitin, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, noted the importance of digitalization of the Russian transport industry. According to him, such a step will allow tracking the movement of all goods across the country, see the speed of movement, and create a "national digital transport logistics platform."
