Since 2020, Muscovites have proposed more than 4,500 initiatives during the existence of the "FACES of the District" competition. More than 250 projects have received city support, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his personal log.

Residents of Tagansky, Tverskaya, Basmanny, Khamovniki and Presnensky districts became the most active. Some of the winning projects have become All-Russian, for example, the festival "Daddy, I'm waiting for you at home!", social guides on Telegram, "The Name of the Streets", "Lampy Kvartirnik", said Sobyanin.

This year, applications are accepted until September 30 in six areas: healthcare and inclusivity, personal development and education, culture and creativity, patriotic education, family values, sports and ecology. More than 500 applications have already been submitted, which is five times more than in the same period last year, the mayor of Moscow noted.

"Networking sessions, master classes, trainings, lectures, and team-building events are held for participants - all this contributes to the comprehensive development of participants and their initiatives," Sobyanin stressed.

The winners become part of the community of the "FACES" of the Agency for Public Projects, receive prizes and help in implementing their ideas. They present their projects at city festivals, organize events at the site of the agency "FACE Space".

The project will expand in the future, Sobyanin promised. Next year, it is planned to involve not only residents, but also enterprises and organizations in the competition. In particular, nominations will be provided for NGOs, commercial structures, socially responsible businesses and youth councils.
