The United States is ready to strike again at the facilities of the Iranian nuclear program. This was announced on July 28 by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at a press conference after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"We destroyed them (Iran. — Ed.) nuclear potential. They can start again. If they do, we will destroy it faster than you can wave a finger," the Reuters news agency quoted him as saying.

He added that the United States is receiving "very unpleasant signals" from Iran.

Trump has already indicated on July 21 that the United States is ready to strike Iran's nuclear facilities if necessary. The American leader wrote about this on the Truth Social social network in response to a statement by the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Abbas Araqchi, about serious damage after the US attack on the Islamic state's nuclear facilities.

Earlier in the day, Araqchi said Iran was not ready for direct talks with the United States. At the same time, he stressed that if the American side is ready for a mutually beneficial solution, then Tehran is open to dialogue. Prior to that, on July 16, Trump expressed the opinion that Iran "desperately" wants to resume negotiations with the United States.
