Law enforcement officers of Jamaica confiscated more than 1.3 tons of marijuana

Jamaican law enforcement authorities have arrested two Haitian citizens on suspicion of organizing a drug trafficking network, and more than 1.3 tons of marijuana were seized. This was reported on July 27 by the Haiti libre news portal.

"According to police, the two men are charged with marijuana possession, marijuana trafficking and preparation for drug export. They are also charged with marijuana trafficking, conspiracy to export marijuana, and illegal entry," the publication says.

The publication noted that the cargo was transported by car, the attackers were detained in the municipality of Toms River in the east of the island. According to law enforcement agencies, the value of the confiscated shipment on the black market exceeds $9.3 million.

On July 17, it became known that Venezuelan security officials had detained a submarine carrying more than 3 tons of cocaine. It was clarified that the boat was heading from Colombia to Venezuela.
