Soldiers of the Vostok group of forces told about the liberation of Zelyony Guy in the DPR

On July 28, servicemen of the 36th separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces told Izvestia about the liberation of the village of Zelyony Guy in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

"We've been in a shooting battle three times in all this time. And then they were mercenaries, that is, they are not Ukrainian military personnel. The Ukrainian military does not want to fight," said a senior intelligence officer with the call sign Guest.

Territories with an area of more than 5 square kilometers have passed under the control of the Russian Army. In addition, the military cleared more than 510 buildings from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"During the retreat, the command either abandons most of the AFU fighters or leaves them to their fate, whether they are wounded, heavy, medium, or light. Well, we help them, we provide assistance, we carry out operations in the field, if necessary. For the most part, this is the stabilization of a serviceman and further hospitalization," said a Russian Army paramedic with the call sign Vostok.

Izvestia correspondent Alexander Safiulin clarified that the liberation of Zelyony Gai was the seventh successful occupation of the settlement for the 36th separate motorized Rifle brigade since the Vostok group reached the village of Zaporizhia at the end of June.

The liberation of Zelyony Guy in the DPR by the forces of the Vostok group became known on July 26. It was clarified that the Russian Armed Forces unfurled the Russian flag after the liberation of the settlement, and engineering groups began to mine the area. On the same day, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the command and personnel of the Russian Armed Forces on the liberation of the settlement.
