A rally of the radical opposition was held in Tbilisi on Sunday, July 27, next to the hotel where the Russian athletes who arrived at the World Fencing Championships stayed.

"This afternoon, representatives of the radical opposition held a small protest near the Sports palace, where the championship is taking place. They came with banners and chanted offensive slogans against athletes and the state symbols of the Russian Federation," journalist Georgy Jabishvili told Izvestia.

He said that police officers are currently on duty near the hotel, the situation has stabilized.
