FT has learned about the supply of 33,000 strike systems for AI drones to Ukraine
The software company Auterion intends to send drone strike systems with artificial intelligence (AI) to Ukraine to combat drones. This was reported on July 27 by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper, citing the company's CEO, Lorenz Mayer.
"Lorenz Meyer announced that the company will supply 33,000 of its artificial intelligence strike systems to Ukraine by the end of the year under a new contract with the US Pentagon," the material says.
According to the newspaper, such measures will be "10 times more extensive" than the previously supplied military assistance to the Ukrainian side in the form of thousands of such systems.
According to the head of the company, the drum kits are based on miniature Skynode computers. These devices are capable of turning manually operated drones into "AI-based weapons systems." So, drones can track a moving target at a distance of up to one km, and they cannot be suppressed using electronic warfare (EW), adds "Газета.Ru ".
On July 26, The Washington Post reported that the EU authorities had come up with a plan to transfer weapons to Ukraine and purchase their replacement from the United States. It was noted that this year the Federal Republic of Germany amended the constitution, which allowed it to borrow "hundreds of billions of euros" for military spending, including the purchase of weapons for Kiev.
