Russian skewers won silver in the team tournament at the Fencing World Cup

On July 26, Russian skewers took second place in the team tournament at the World Fencing Championships in Tbilisi.

In the final, the Russian national team, consisting of Yana Bekmurzova, Kristina Yasinskaya, Aizanat Murtazayeva and Milene Bavuge Habimana lost to the French national team with a score of 32:41.

The national team from South Korea won the bronze medals.

The World Fencing Championships are held from 22 to 30 July. The Russians compete in the tournament in a neutral status.

Earlier in the day, Russian sabre player Sofia Velikaya lost to Ukrainian Yulia Bakastova in the 1/32 finals of the World Fencing Championships in Tbilisi. The match ended with a score of 15:14.
